Conversation with the Big Guy Recap – Battleground Analysis, Road Dogg Deals with Criticism, Origins of Ryback’s Singlet, More!

Ryback is joined on today’s show by his co-host Pat Buck.

Ryback informs that he watched Battleground last Sunday. He enjoyed the show, in spite of the fact that a lot of people seemed to be very critical of the show. He does point out that the Philadelphia crowd seemed very quiet during the Nakamura/Baron Corbin match.

Buck points out that a lot of people have been very critical of Nakamura’s main roster run thus far, saying that his work hasn’t been nearly as sharp as when he worked in Japan. Ryback says that Nakamura has only been on the main roster for several months, and these things take time.

Buck feels that Nakamura has not been presented well since arriving in WWE. He feels that WWE over-hyped his debut, and with the language barrier he’s facing, Nakamura simply hasn’t connected to the level that a lot of people thought he would. He doesn’t think that Nakamura’s work has been any worse than normal, but something has definitely been missing.
