Chad Gable Meets Dan Gable, Appears With Jason Jordan At Tragos/Thesz HOF
Chad Gable made an appearance Friday night for Impact Pro Wrestling during an event promoted in conjunction with the annual George Tragos/Lou Thesz Pro Wrestling Hall of Fame weekend in Waterloo, Iowa.
Gable, real name Charles Betts, grew up in nearby Minnesota and was a successful amateur wrestler in high school and college. At the IPW show, he came down to the ring and talked about meeting his hero, legendary collegiate wrestler, coach, and gold medalist Dan Gable. He remarked about being at a WWE show recently in Cedar Rapids, Iowa where there was a “Gable” sign and originally thinking it was for himself. Instead, the sign was for Iowa’s own Dan Gable.
Dan Gable then came down to the ring and appeared with WWE’s Chad Gable. Dan talked about his career in wrestling and training with professional wrestlers, like former collegiate champion and brief pro wrestler Chris Taylor. He talked about breaking a rib while training with Taylor.

During his promo, Chad Gable also mentioned that his “former” tag team partner Jason Jordan was in attendance. The pair of them had an autograph table together during the show on Friday night and also appeared at the Hall of Fame events on Saturday. This was of course their first appearance since Jordan was revealed as Kurt Angle’s “son” on WWE television.
