Lucha Underground Doing A Talent Exchange with Impact Wrestling?

While speaking to Interactive Wrestling Radio, Lucha Underground Producer Vampiro was asked about rumors of Lucha Underground possibly doing a talent exchange with Impact Wrestling. Vampiro mentioned that maybe it could happen later down the road someday but for now that is the deal between AAA and Impact and not Lucha Uderground.

“No, that is not going to happen. That is a deal between AAA and Impact. Impact will have matches on AAA shows, for example. We will integrate some of our talent into TNA. Hopefully, eventually, way down the line, maybe do some inter-company angles. Baby steps. We want to do it right.”

Vampiro also commented on the return of Lucha Underground Season 3 on El Rey on May 31st.

“I think everybody’s kind of waiting on it, you know what I mean? There’s such a cool vibe around the show. After such a long time, people are getting used to the idea that we are a TV show based on wrestling and there is going to be a season split. I think in this day and age, it is refreshing to have that. The other companies that are going strong, you really don’t mind it if you miss a week or two or even a month. It is almost too much sometimes. TO have us coming back, we’ve got people ready for it. It is a pretty good feeling. We’re all motivated!”

WWE Offering Crazy Deal for July 3rd & July 4th Episodes of RAW & SmackDown

WWE is offering an amazing two-for-one ticket deal for the upcoming RAW & SmackDown events that falls on a holiday week.

Apparently the company believes that it will be hard to push ticket sales for the July 3rd and 4th episodes of RAW and SmackDown because it will be a holiday week so they are giving the fans a deal that is too good to pass up. The events will be held at the Talking Stick Resort Arena in Phoenix, AZ.

Speculation on WWE Cutting Back 205 Live

WWE send out an email that mentioned Talking Smack would be starting at 10:30 PM. Historically the show has been kicking off right before 11PM because of 205 Live.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter noted that they were informed that there is nothing to this change and they just started listing it at 10:30PM because 205 Live has never been scheduled for one hour.

Dave Meltzer wrote, “WWE officials said that nothing is changing and they just listed 10:30 p.m. because 205 Live has never been scheduled for one hour and so 10:30 p.m. would be the time meaning a time slot prior to the 11 p.m. time slot.”

The Taz Show Recap – The Rock for President, Universal Title Picture, Strowman’s Surgery, More!

Block 1:

Taz comments on the news from yesterday, when The Rock said he wouldn’t count out a run for the Presidency at some point in the future. Taz thinks it’d be awesome if The Rock ran for the Presidency. He says that The Rock is a huge star who is almost universally liked by everyone. He’s also a very intelligent man, who Taz would support if he announced his candidacy.

Taz says that while it’s no secret that The Rock is one of the most gifted talkers in the history of professional wrestling, he was no slouch in the ring either. Rock is a big, strong guy who could really work in the ring, and Taz has the upmost respect for him.

A listener calls into the show and asks Taz if WWE performers have any form of insurance through the company, or if you need to have your own insurance policies. Taz says that WWE performers are independent contractors, and this means that you’re responsible for your own insurance policies.

However, if you get injured working for WWE, Vince McMahon and the company always takes care of you. If your kids or spouse needs a medical procedure, the company will not cover that. He says that some former employees take shots at the company for their policies in this regard, but Taz will never do that. From his experience, Vince McMahon does whatever he can to take care of his employees.
