LOOK: Liv Morgan Appears At New York Knicks Game, Gives Man The Cold Shoulder

She’s not having it. Wrestlers are celebrities in a unique way, as while they are certainly known to the public, they are rarely known for anything but their time in the ring. That does not offer them many options for getting their name out there otherwise, but it does happen occasionally. Now we are seeing it again as a WWE star had a moment that is likely to get her noticed.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Hi There: International Star Makes Official WWE Debut
Liv Morgan was a guest at Tuesday’s New York Knicks game in Madison Square Garden to promote WWE’s upcoming live event in the same venue. During the night, Morgan was acknowledged as a guest of the team and presented with a customized Knicks jersey with her name on the back. Also during the night, Morgan was shown watching the game while a fan spoke to her, but she barely acknowledged anything he said. The Knicks’ Twitter account shared the clip, saying Morgan definitely did not hear a word of what was said to her.

Hi There: International Star Makes Official WWE Debut

He’s in. WWE is a truly international wrestling company, with a worldwide audience and live events taking place throughout the world. They have all kinds of countries represented on their roster as well, with wrestlers of several nationalities up and down the card. That list has grown recently and now another international star has officially been seen on WWE television.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Right Here, Right Now: Independent Tag Team Sends WWE Cease And Desist Letters Over Name
International star Dragon Lee was shown in the crowd this week on NXT. Lee, who announced that he had signed with WWE in December, was listed under the Dragon Lee name. This is similar to how previous new signees debuted in the crowd before. Lee did nothing else on the show and did not get physical. There is no word on when he will make his in-ring debut for the company.
Lee has wrestled at a high level around the world. Check out his debut and some of his time in the ring:

Right Here, Right Now: Independent Tag Team Sends WWE Cease And Desist Letters Over Name

They might want to fix that. While WWE and AEW get the most attention throughout the wrestling world, there are all kinds of wrestlers who work throughout the industry but rarely get the same amount of attention. Those wrestlers work incredibly hard to make a name for themselves without the same backing that comes with working for WWE. Now two of them have a problem with something WWE is doing.

In an interview with the Hudson Valley Post, independent tag team The Now (Vik Dalishus and Hale Collins) revealed that they have sent two cease and desist letters to WWE over the company’s use of the term “the now” in regards to Austin Theory. Dalishus said that the name has been copyrighted since 2006 and people in WWE know their names. WWE has replied to one of the letters and is looking into the matter. Dalishus also said that their next step is a lawsuit for trademark infringement.

That’s a scary ending. There are all kinds of ways to build up sympathy for a wrestler, all of which can be used for a big moment later. Some of them can be more serious than others, but the question becomes what happens after the initial moment. We saw a more serious one this week at the end of a television show, and now it could be going in a variety of directions.

The main event of this week’s NXT saw Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez successfully defend her title against Meiko Satomura. Following the match, the two shook hands before Perez collapsed without being attacked. She was taken out of the arena on a stretcher and put in an ambulance to end the show. There is no word on where this is going or anything to suggest that this is anything more than a storyline.
That got serious. Check out the whole ordeal:

And Done: AEW Stable Officially Disbands

That’s one less. Stables have been a common factor in wrestling for a very long time now as they are a concept that makes sense. Having a stable allows for several wrestlers to be able to get television time at once, often through a shared goal or characteristic. Occasionally you will also see wrestlers who are thrown together with nothing else to do, and now we are seeing one such stable go their separate ways.

AEW’s QT Marshall has announced that the Factory, his AEW stable, has disbanded, citing hate from “experts” in wrestling. Marshall said to keep an eye on the members of the team, including Lee Johnson, Cole Karter, Aaron Solo and Nick Comoroto. There is no word on any backstage reason for the team being disbanded and nothing to suggest that any member is gone from the promotion.
We did some fun stuff. Unfortunately, the amount of Factory hate from the “experts” in wrestling was too much and the group ..

Double Shot: Monday Night Raw Star And Main Event Officially Set For NXT Stand & Deliver

It’s that time of year. We are less than a month away from WrestleMania 39 and that means it is time to start getting everything ready. While WrestleMania will be the featured event of the weekend, there are other major WWE events taking place. One of them will take place on Saturday before the first night of WrestleMania and now we know a good bit more of the card.

There were two matches announced for NXT Stand & Deliver during this week’s edition of NXT. First up, Grayson Waller challenged Shawn Michaels to come out of retirement and face him in a match. However, Michaels turned him down and introduced Johnny Gargano, who will face Waller instead. Second, NXT Champion Bron Breakker will defend the title against Carmelo Hayes. The two have been teasing a match for weeks before making it official this week. This match is rumored to have main roster callup implications.

NXT Results – March 7, 2023 (Roadblock)

NXT
Date: March 7, 2023
Location: Capitol Wrestling Center, Orlando, Florida
Commentators: Vic Joseph, Booker T.
This is the Roadblock special, because we need a special event less than a month before what is probably the biggest NXT event of the year. Since the NXT Champion is in a six man tag, the real main event is probably Shawn Michaels appearing on the Grayson Waller Effect. NXT has teased Michaels fighting Waller, so odds are we see who is doing it in Michaels’ place this week. Let’s get to it.
We open with Tiffany’s Epiphanies, as Tiffany Stratton runs down the card and talks about how we got here.
Tony D’Angelo vs. Dijak This is the Jailhouse Street Fight, meaning a casket match with a jail cell. Dijak tries a nightstick to start but gets clotheslined to the floor instead. It’s way too early to send Dijak into the cell but D’Angelo fights his way out of it too. After Stacks gets knocked down, they head back inside where Dijak hits High Justice onto a chair. Sights set. There are all kinds of talented wrestlers on the WWE roster but it can be difficult for all of them to find something to do. With that many people, even the amount of television time that WWE has is often not enough. Sometimes those wrestlers have to be grouped together, and that is what a certain manager is teasing again, with quite the array of names.

Let’s Get Rowdy: Update On Ronda Rousey’s WrestleMania 39 Status

It could be worse? We are getting closer and closer to WrestleMania and a lot of the card has already been set up. With so little time left though, there are only so many more changes that can be made. Occasionally something happens that necessitates a change though and while we have not reached that point just yet, one WWE star will not be going into WrestleMania as planned.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: It’s Over: Six Month Old Streak Snapped On Monday Night Raw
Last week on SmackDown, Ronda Rousey accompanied Shayna Baszler to the ring with her arm in a sling. This was later revealed to be due to Rousey re-aggravating a previous injury. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, Rousey and Baszler are still expected to challenge for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles at WrestleMania, but Rousey is not likely to be at 100% for the match. The match has yet to be announced but as of now Tuesday, she is expected to work the show.

It’s Over: Six Month Old Streak Snapped On Monday Night Raw

It had to happen at some point. Wrestling is a weird sport in that while wins and losses matter, the results are planned in advance. What makes it more interesting is that fans can get behind the idea of a wrestler winning over and over, as it makes them seem like a bigger star. Every wrestler has to lose at some point though, and now one of the winning streaks has been broken.

The opening match this week on Monday Night Raw saw Kevin Owens defeat Solo Sikoa via disqualification when Jimmy Uso interfered. This was Sikoa’s first televised loss on the main roster, where he debuted back in September. Sikoa has yet to be pinned or made to submit on the main roster. This comes after reports of Sikoa being kept strong in preparation for a future feud with Roman Reigns.
Sikoa has been a force. Check out his time on the main roster:
