WATCH: Trailer For New Wrestling Animated Series Takes Shots At WWE

It’s easy to parody. As seriously as some fans take it, wrestling is something that can easily be mocked. It is a bunch of people doing a bunch of completely insane things a lot of the time but when you are inside the wrestling bubble, it works out rather well. However, if you change things up a little bit and take a look from outside the bubble, you can have a lot of laughs. That is what some wrestlers are hoping to do.
Back in July, the Good Brothers (Doc Gallows/Karl Anderson) made their Impact Wrestling debuts as a big featured attraction at Slammiversary. The team was one of the biggest prizes after so many wrestlers were released from WWE back in April. As a result, Impact Wrestling suddenly had some big names on their hands with a lot of entertainment potential. Some of that potential will be on display, albeit with nothing taking place in the ring.
The Good Brothers, along with Rocky Romero and NZO (formerly Enzo Amore) are working on a new series called The Gimmicks, an anim..

WWE RUMOR: Behind The Scenes Shakeup Takes Place In NXT UK

It’s time to shake things up a bit. NXT UK debuted just under two years ago and went on to become a rather entertaining weekly wrestling show. Their Takeover main events have been outstanding and there is no reason to believe they can’t pick things up where they left off before the Coronavirus hit. Hopefully that is the case, but things are already changing in a big way.
Every now and then, you need some kind of a shakeup on any wrestling show. At some point, no matter how good things are going, it can start to get a little stale, either in front of or behind the camera. At that point it is time to mix things up a bit and if it is done right, the show can get a lot better in a hurry. If it doesn’t go so well though, it can be a quick fall from grace. Hopefully it is the former this time around.
According to the Inside The Ropes podcast, NXT UK producer and former Progress Wrestling co-owner Glen Joseph has left the company due to personal reasons. As a result, Jim Smallman, also the ..

How Paul Heyman And Roman Reigns Will Be Presented On SmackDown

That’s a little different. We are in a different world on SmackDown these days as the combination of Roman Reigns and Paul Heyman have taken the show over. The new pairing has already risen up to the top with Reigns winning the Universal Title in his first match back after five months. Reigns and Heyman are an instant smash and it turns out that there are some special plans for them.
Part of the appeal of the relationship is how fast Heyman was allowed to make Reigns into a villain. The Reigns heel turn is something fans have been wanting to see for a long time now and for we are finally seeing it take place. Heyman being paired with Reigns makes him an instant villain and what might make it even more interesting is how much differently things are going to be presented.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the plan for the Heyman and Reigns pairing is to have Heyman indebted to Reigns for saving his career after Brock Lesnar left the company. The idea will see Reigns havin..

Possible Spoiler For WWE Draft Spoiler

Switch it up? There are a lot of wrestlers on the WWE roster and they are split up into two different rosters with very little crossover. The Monday Night Raw wrestlers almost never interact with their SmackDown counterparts and vice versa. While this sounds like a good idea a lot of the time, there are only so many ways to book the same wrestlers. Sometimes you need to shake things up and one big name might be making a move soon.
We are coming up on the WWE Draft, which will take place at some point later this year. The event will be a way to shake things up a bit and switch some wrestlers up between Monday Night Raw and SmackDown. There are a few names who fans are suspecting to move, and one of them seems rather interested in moving, mainly because of someone else on the roster.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, AJ Styles may use his backstage pull to get moved from SmackDown over to Monday Night Raw to avoid being around Paul Heyman. Styles and Heyman have had issue..

WWE Dropping Hints Drew McIntyre Is Losing WWE Championship

So much for that? Back at WrestleMania 36, Drew McIntyre defeated Brock Lesnar in the main event to become the new WWE Champion. He has gone on to hold the title for five months since, during which he has become one of the biggest stars that WWE has to offer. As positive as the reign has been, McIntyre has to lose the title at some point and WWE may be hinting at just that.
McIntyre is currently in the middle of a heck of a feud with Randy orton, who he defeated to retain the title at Summerslam. Orton was not done with McIntyre yet though and went on to Punt him three times in one night. McIntyre responded with a trio of Claymores a few weeks later. Both attacks resulted in someone being taken away in an ambulance, resulting in an ambulance match at Clash Of Champions. This may go badly for McIntyre.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE has been setting up McIntyre to lose his title at Clash Of Champions. This includes Orton losing back to back pay per view matches an..

Jon Moxley Competing In Bloodsport Fight

Share the wealth. AEW has gone from non-existent to one of the biggest wrestling promotions in the world in a pretty short amount of time. They have had more success than could have reasonably been expected and that is very impressive. A lot of that is due to the talent that they have on their roster, but a good number of them are not under exclusive contracts. That will be on display soon.
Back at Double Or Nothing 2019, Jon Moxley, formerly known as Dean Ambrose in WWE, made his debut at the end of the show and became one of the biggest stars AEW had. It was a heck of a coup for the company and Moxley went on to become the company’s second, and longest reigning, World Champion. However, AEW is not going to be the only place that you can see him.
Josh Barnett has announced that Moxley will be fighting at Bloodsport 3 on October 11. The event will feature a series of no ropes, submission or knockout only fights between various wrestlers. There is no word on who Moxley will be facing…

NWA World Champion Nick Aldis Celebrates Huge Career Milestone

NWA World Heavyweight champion Nick Aldis is one of the most respected talents working in the pro wrestling industry today. The National Treasure has faced a variety of challengers during his second title reign, which began when he defeated Cody at the NWA 70th Anniversary Show.
Now Aldis is celebrating an anniversary of his own, as that second title win took place on October 21, 2018. The champ is now 700 days into his run and shows no signs of slowing down.
Nick Aldis is highly regarded as a top world champion because of his work in the ring, as well as his character work on the mic. He’s a throwback heel champion, much in the same vein as Ric Flair and Harley Race, both of whom were former NWA World Champions. Aldis has defended the title all over the world against a variety of opponents, including Tommy Dreamer, Christopher Daniels, Brian Cage, Flip Gordon and Jake Hager.

Former AEW Wrestler Appears Makes Raw Underground Appearance

To the other side. The Wednesday Night Wars have become a rather interesting battle between the two major American wrestling companies. AEW and WWE’s NXT have been going head to head for most of a year now and the two sides are showing no signs of slowing down. WWE has lost some names to AEW, but now a certain cult level name has gone in the opposite direction.
One of the more interesting things about AEW has been their efforts to bring in some new wrestlers who might not be known to the masses. This can offer a lot of fresh faces to the audience and some of them might catch on. It might not always be the biggest role in the world, but even a small role on television is better than nothing. A now former AEW star found that out this week.
Earlier this week on Monday Night Raw, Suge D, better known as Pineapple Pete in AEW, appeared on this week’s Monday Night Raw as an extra during Raw Underground. In a post about the appearance on Twitter, Suge D suggested that it was a one off appea..

Former Champion Shoots Down Reports Of WWE Return

Not so fast? There are a lot of wrestlers who have come and gone from WWE over the years and some of them are bigger names than others. While the majority of them come and go without making that big of an impact, some of them become stars who are going to be remembered for a long time to come. One of them has been rumored to be returning to WWE, but that might have been jumping the gun.
The Women’s Revolution has been a great addition to the WWE as the company suddenly has a new pair of divisions which are viable options to draw in fans. The last few years have seen some major changes but they came after a lot of people put in the work to pave the roads. There have been some talented women in WWE before now, and we have some conflicting reports of one of them returning.
Earlier this week, news broke that former WWE Women’s Champion Melina had signed a deal to return to the company. However, Melina has since responded to the story, saying that she has not signed and talking about how ..

REVIEW: Ring Of Honor Motor City Madness 2006: I Get It

Welcome to KB’s Old School (and New School) Reviews. I’ve been reviewing wrestling shows for over ten years now and have reviewed over 5,000 shows. Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, I’ll be posting a new review here on Wrestlingrumors.net. It could be anything from modern WWE to old school to indies to anything in between. Note that I rate using letters instead of stars and I don’t rate matches under three minutes as really, how good or bad can something that short be?
Motor City Madness
Date: October 7, 2006
Location: Michigan State Fairgrounds & Expo Center, Detroit, Michigan
Commentators: Dave Prazak, Jared David
It’s another ROH DVD and another era I don’t know much about. That was a lot of fun when I checked out the 7th Anniversary Show and this one is a little earlier, as we are only about four years into the company’s history. This time around we have Bryan Danielson defending the World Title against Austin Aries and a dream tag match between Samoa Joe/Homicide vs. the Brisc..

WWE RUMOR: Long Term Plans For Roman Reigns

By George they do have a plan. Over the last few years, there have been very few wrestlers either as successful or controversial as Roman Reigns. It has become WWE’s mission in life to turn Reigns into the next big thing in the company and while it has worked well enough for the most part, there has been a little something missing. Now though, WWE is trying something different and it just might work.
Back in August, Reigns returned from a five month hiatus and instantly aligned himself with Paul Heyman, turning heel for the first time on his own in WWE. It marked a new era for Reigns and in a lot of fans’ mind, that is a very good thing. Reigns has become a heck of a villain in a short amount of time and there is no reason to believe that it will be changing anytime soon. However, WWE might have another idea in mind.
According to Wrestlingnews.co, the idea of Reigns’ heel turn is that fans will eventually be impressed by him as a heel and cheer for him, turning him into a babyface na..
