Former WWE Star Officially Announces Retirement

See you later. While there are a lot of other wrestling promotions in the world, WWE is ultimately the biggest, most powerful and most influential in the world. If a wrestler makes a name for themselves there, they are going to be able to survive on that for years to come. The independent circuit is filled with wrestlers who were formerly part of WWE, but now one of them is going to be hanging up her boots.
The Women’s Revolution has brought WWE a long way and there is no denying how big the changes have been for the company. It took a long time to get here, but the women’s division has reached heights no one would have ever believed possible just a few years ago. As different as this generation has been, there was a group of wrestlers who came before it to help pave the way, but one of them is walking away from wrestling.
In a new interview with Chris Van Vliet, former WWE and NWA Women’s Champion Jazz announced that she has officially retired from in-ring competition. Jazz had been..

Former WWE Producer Arrested Over The Weekend

It happens. As wrestling fans, we sit back and watch a lot of wrestlers every single week and often do so in awe. There is something so amazing about what we get to see so often and it’s a great thing to see. However, one thing that people tend to forget at times is the fact that these people have lives outside of the ring. One of those lives did not go as well recently.
One of the bigger WWE stories of the year has been the departure of dozens of wrestlers and several backstage workers. The Coronavirus pandemic caused all kinds of changes to be made and there are only so many things that WWE can do in such a situation. Several names were gone, including some who were rather familiar to WWE fans, and now one of them has even more bad news.
According to PWInsider.com, Sarah Stock was arrested on Sunday morning on charges of aggravated battery, resisting law enforcement, disorderly conduct and public intoxication by alcohol. She has already been released from jail by the sheriff’s depa..

Impact Wrestling Results – September 29, 2020

Impact Wrestling
Date: September 29, 2020
Location: Skyway Studios, Nashville, Tennessee
Commentators: Josh Matthews, Madison Rayne
We’re on the way to Bound For Glory and that means we are starting to see the card coming together. This time around we are building towards the Tag Team Title match, as the Good Brothers and the Rascalz, who are likely heading towards a multi team title match, have their own match going on tonight. Let’s get to it.
Opening recap.
Opening sequence.
Taya Valkyrie/Rosemary vs. Havok/Nevaeh Rosemary and Havok have to be held back to start so it’s Nevaeh running Taya over with a shoulder to start. The other two come in with Rosemary taking Havok down and hammering away to quite a bit of avail. Taya comes in but can’t whip Havok in, instead being clotheslined down.
Nevaeh grabs a front facelock and then hits a basement dropkick for two. Havok comes in and gets two off Nevaeh’s clothesline. A quick crawl between Havok’s legs allows the hot tag to Rosemary a..

WWE RUMOR: Two WWE Shows Moving To Performance Center

Load up the trucks. The Coronavirus has changed the way the wrestling world works and WWE has certainly been no exception. There are only so many ways to present a wrestling show in a small building and at times, something needs to be changed. WWE has made such changes by moving from the Performance Center into the Amway Center. That might not be the only change they make though.
One of the biggest problems with the Performance Center was it did not seem to fit the image of a major wrestling promotion. The building is not very bit and is only going to be able to handle so much as far as a production goes. There wasn’t much that WWE could do with it for Monday Night Raw and SmackDown, but they have some other shows available and are taking advantage of one.
According to Post Wrestling, WWE is moving both NXT and 205 Live to the Performance Center starting this Sunday with Takeover: 31. There is no word on why the change is being made so suddenly. NXT has been taped at Full Sail Univer..

VIDEO: AEW Roster Sings Chris Jericho’s Judas

I’d think he’s earned it. There are very few wrestlers in the world today who are as famous as Chris Jericho. He has been in the wrestling industry for almost thirty years now and has accomplished almost everything there is to accomplish. In addition to wrestling, Jericho has also spread into various other industries, many of which have been successful as well. One is more than the rest though and now the two are becoming one.
Jericho remains the biggest signing that AEW has ever had, but he came with a bit of a bonus. Since Jericho is the lead singer of the band Fozzy, he had quite a few songs to pick from for his entrance music. In the end he went with Judas, which is a rather catchy song. It is catchy enough that his fans like singing the song back to him during his entrances, but how well do his co-workers know the song?
I’d call it a tribute. Check out the AEW roster trying their voices at Judas:

Former AEW Star Injured In Nasty Accident

It could have been worse. There are a lot of ways that a wrestler can get hurt in the ring. No matter how talented the wrestlers are, there is no way to guarantee that they are going to be completely safe. On top of that though, there are the risks that come with just going through everyday life. The latter caused a fairly well known wrestler quite a few injuries in a recent accident.
AEW Dynamite is coming up on its one year anniversary and a lot has changed in the last twelve months. Various wrestlers have come and gone over that time, though some of them have been more notable than others. Some wrestlers who were around at the beginning of the promotion just went away out of nowhere, which is what happened to someone who made headlines with some bad news.
Former AEW wrestler Cima has announced via Twitter, with translation via 411mania.com, that he was struck by a car while he was riding his bicycle. Cima has suffered a variety of injuries as a result, including a head injury, a f..

Guest Star Appearing On This Week’s SmackDown

A special guest star. We are less than a month away from the 2020 WWE Draft, meaning things are going to be shaken up in a big way. This is a very exciting time for WWE as you never know who is going to move from one show to another. That can make for some interesting twists, but we might be seeing one of the twists a little bit earlier than expected this year.
One of the problems with the Brand Split is having wrestlers getting stuck in a rut on a show. Sometimes it seems like they are doing the same things with the same people over and over. That can be helped by just giving someone a change of pace, even for a little while. That is what we are going to be getting this week, as someone is making a guest appearance.
WWE has announced that Monday Night Raw’s Kevin Owens will be appearing on this week’s SmackDown as part of the Brand To Brand Invitational. Owens will be hosting the Kevin Owens Show with Alexa Bliss as his guest, where the two of them discuss Bliss being influenced by ..

Tegan Nox Tore Her ACL Again In A Very Different Way

This isn’t boding well. There are some wrestlers who seem to not be able to stay healthy no matter what they do. For some reason they appear to be completely snake bit, which can make their careers a lot harder. It feels like they always have something happening to them and it gets harder and harder for them to make a comeback. That seems to be the case with someone else, especially given how their latest injury went down.
There are a lot of talented wrestlers in NXT today and several of them show quite a bit of promise. That is certainly the case with Tegan Nox, who is young, talented and charismatic. You don’t see that kind of a combination with many wrestlers, but Nox has all of those attributes in spades. However, she also has a problem staying healthy, and that is the case again in a bad way.
Earlier this week, WWE confirmed that Nox had suffered a third torn ACL. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, the latest injury took place when Nox was rehabbing her injury rather than du..

WWE Taking Over Superstars’ Twitch Accounts This Month

And there’s the next step. One of the more interesting stories of the year has been WWE cracking down on its wrestlers being involved with third party platforms. This includes thins like Cameo, but more importantly Twitch, which has become a rather nice side business for WWE. That has allowed some wrestlers to gain a following outside of the ring, but also a lot of money, which has caught WWE’s attention. Now the company is doing something about it.
This is the kind of a situation which has set off quite the discussion in WWE. The argument becomes whether the company or the wrestlers themselves are responsible for the success. It is a case where you can see both sides, but it is a little hard to get around the idea that the wrestlers are independent contractors when they have these restrictions put on them. Things have gotten even more interesting in a new move.
According to Wrestlinginc.com, WWE will be taking over the wrestlers’ Twitch accounts in four weeks. The wrestlers will sti..

WWE Had Humiliating Plans For Miro Before He Left

I don’t think it would have gone well. Back in September, Miro, formerly known as Rusev in WWE, made his AEW debut as one of the biggest signings out of the group of April WWE releases. Since his debut, Miro has mainly focused on his new love of gaming, including segments and promos involving gaming. It is a very different way to go, but WWE had a pretty different idea for him last year.
During his five and a half year run in WWE, one of the longer stories that Miro took part in was a love triangle involving Lana and Bobby Lashley. Miro is married to Lana, who left him for Lashley, setting up the long running feud. The story involved Miro being a sex addict, which eventually annoyed Lana to cause her to have an affair. It turns out that the original plan was rather different.
In the latest edition of the AEW Unrestricted podcast, Miro spoke about the plans WWE had for him before he left the company. The original pitch for the storyline would have seen Miro suffering from erectile dys..

NXT UK Results – October 1, 2020

NXT UK
Date: October 1, 2020
Location: BT Studios, London, England
Commentators: Nigel McGuinness, Andy Shepherd
It’s tournament time as we are starting up the Heritage Cup. This is a special one as we are going to be seeing a tribute to the old British rounds system. That could go multiple ways and we’re going to have Pete Dunne as a special guest referee. Other than that, we are continuing to build up the United Kingdom Title match between Walter and Ilja Dragunov. Let’s get to it.
Opening sequence.
Heritage Cup Qualifying Match: Kenny Williams vs. Ashton Smith vs. Amir Jordan The winner gets the Wild Card spot. Williams and Jordan seem surprised to see each other. Smith misses a double clothesline and the regular partners dropkick him down. That leaves Jordan and Williams to shake hands and then go to the grappling, with Jordan popping up for a pose. It doesn’t work out that well though as Smith comes back in with a double clothesline to take them both down.
They trade rollups f..

Another NXT Show Was Planned With A Pilot Shot

Of course we can have more. There is a lot of WWE programming today, with more weekly programming than the company has ever regularly had before. Combining Monday Night Raw, SmackDown and NXT, WWE offers seven hours of television and that isn’t even counting their secondary shows. That’s a lot of time spent watching wrestling and we almost got more.
One of the biggest changes brought about during the Wednesday Night Wars was the expansion of NXT from one hour to two. That was quite the change after the show had spent so much time at a single hour a week. Things had to change, but NXT had the roster to make it work. However, they might not have had the roster to make an abandoned idea work as well.
According to Fightful Select, NXT had been discussing a potential second show called NXT Underground, which would focus on the NXT wrestlers who were rarely on the regular television show. The recently signed Evolve wrestlers would have been featured on the show as well. A pilot episode was..
