AEW Dynamite Results – June 11, 2021

Dynamite
Date: June 11, 2021
Location: Daily’s Place, Jacksonville, Florida
Commentators: Jim Ross, Excalibur, Tony Schiavone
The Friday night escapades continue as we move towards the return of fans in a little over a month. That means we could be in for a big card tonight but there is always something interesting going on around here. I’m not sure what to expect and that can often be a good thing with AEW. Let’s get to it.
Opening sequence.
The Hardy Family Office is in the ring to get things going. Matt Hardy rants about how Christian Cage is jealous over Matt making more money in his career so tonight, Angelico is going to give Christian such a beating that he will never financially recover.
Angelico vs. Christian Cage
They fight over arm control to start so Angelico offers him his leg to keep things interesting. Christian doesn’t fall for that and hits Angelico in the face instead. Some right hands in the corner stagger Angelico even more but he is right back up to pull Chris..

SmackDown Live Coverage And Results – June 11, 2021

Smackdown
Date: June 11, 2021
Location: Yuengling Center, Tampa, Florida
Commentators: Pat McAfee, Michael Cole
We are on the way to Hell in a Cell and odds are we have the main event set on the blue side. It looks like we are going to be seeing Rey Mysterio get the Universal Title shot against Roman Reigns, assuming they don’t go nuts and give it to Dominik. Normally I would say there is no way, but have you been watching WWE lately? Let’s get to it.
We open with a rematch of the Usos failing to win the Tag Team Titles and Roman Reigns destroying the Mysterios to let off some steam.
Reigns is in the back with Jey Uso, saying the Usos owe him an apology. Reigns knows Jey is with him, but we have to see about Jimmy.
Here’s Jimmy Uso for a chat. Jimmy recaps last week and wants to know why Reigns cost them their second title shot. Maybe Reigns is jealous, because the Usos could be the champs and have some gold of their own. Jey isn’t Reigns’ brother and Jimmy is his brother’s keeper…

Main Event Results – June 3, 2021

Main Event
Date: June 3, 2021
Location: Yuengling Center, Tampa, Florida
Commentators: Kevin Patrick, Byron Saxton
I’m not sure what to expect from this show and that is a nice feeling to have. Above all else, Main Event has mixed things up a bit in recent weeks and above all else, that makes the show more fun. Main Event went so far overboard with the same wrestlers in the same matches every week and it is nice to see a few things being switched up. Let’s get to it.
Opening sequence.
Mansoor vs. Drew Gulak Gulak takes him to the mat without much effort to start for all of a few seconds. Back up and Gulak slaps him in the face a few times but Mansoor gets in a shot of his own. A headscissors with an armbar has Gulak down for a bit this time and it’s a regular armbar to make it worse.
Gulak slips out of that in a hurry and starts working on the leg, but adds in a chinlock with the legs still tied up. That’s reversed into another armbar but Gulak slips out in a hurry for another stan..

Impact Wrestling Results – June 3, 2021

Impact Wrestling
Date: June 3, 2021
Location: Skyway Studios, Nashville, Tennessee
Commentators: Josh Matthews, D’Lo Brown
We’re on the way to Against All Odds which means we’re on the way to Slammiversary, meaning Kenny Omega is going to be getting some more featured time around here. Tonight might be a little short on time though, as we are getting a special bonus match. During Before The Impact (the show which airs before Impact), Josh Alexander defended the X-Division Title against TJP in an hour long Iron Man match, which has gotten such rave reviews that I’ll include it as an extra. Let’s get to it.
Before The Impact: X-Division Title: Josh Alexander vs. TJP
Alexander is defending in a sixty minute Iron Man match. Fallah Bahh is here to sweep the steps for TJP and Petey Williams is here with Alexander. They go with the grappling to start with Alexander being shoved down in a hurry. A test of strength goes to Alexander but he can’t break TJP’s bridge. Instead TJP flips him over..

NXT UK Results – June 10, 2021

NXT UK
Date: June 10, 2021
Location: BT Studios, London, England
Commentators: Nigel McGuinness, Andy Shepherd
It’s a title night as Meiko Satomura is challenging Kay Lee Ray for the Women’s Title. The two of them had quite the showdown back in March and it could be great to see what they could do again with the stakes at a high level again. Other than that, Walter is back and that means we could be in for an important appearance. Let’s get to it.
Opening recap.
Opening sequence.
Here is Walter for the first time in about two months to get things going. Walter talks about his title defenses in two days on two continents. Now he is the longest reigning champion of the modern era but his mission has never changed. His goal is to make this title prestigious and keep the ring sacred. And that’s it.
Subculture is ready for Jinny and Joseph Conners next week.
Jordan Devlin vs. Saxton Huxley The bigger Huxley powers him into the corner to start and hits a knee to Devlin’s ribs. A headlo..

Triple H Gives Some Controversial Comments On NXT Fans

That might get some people talking. NXT is one of the most unique wrestling promotions in the world as it serves more than one purpose. While it is a show that airs on its own every week for two hours in prime time, it is also the official developmental program for WWE. This brings an additional layer of pressure of the wrestlers, and now one of the biggest names in NXT has something interesting to say about it.
WWE COO Triple H took part in a media conference call to promote this Sunday’s NXT Takeover: In Your House and was asked about NXT wrestlers moving to other shows. Triple H responded with the following (transcription courtesy of Wrestlinginc.com):
“Do you like it, or do you not like it? Do you have to say, ‘I like it, but I like this other thing more,’ or ‘I like it, but I don’t like it as much as I like that one.’ Just watch it or don’t and stop trying to figure out where everything goes.”
“The fans ruin their own stuff half the time trying to figure out where everything g..

NXT Adding Another Takeover To A Major Weekend

Mark your calendars. Things are starting to get back to normal in the wrestling world and that can make for some interesting changes. Possibly above everything else, it can give wrestling fans some things to look forward to, especially some bigger shows which they might have been missing in recent months. Now it seems that we might be in for an even bigger weekend than expected.
According to Fightful Select, WWE is planning to hold an NXT Takeover event on Sunday, August 21, the night after Summerslam. The event is planned for the Capitol Wrestling Center in Orlando, Florida, though there is a chance that it could be moved elsewhere. NXT is currently scheduled to hold another Takeover this weekend with Takeover: In Your House airing on Sunday.
Takeover has quite the reputation. Check out what can happen there:

WWE RUMOR: More On Special Summerslam Plans

It’s kind of his job. We are now in the summer and in WWE, that means it is time to start getting ready for one of the biggest shows of the year. That would be Summerslam, which will be held in Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada on Saturday August 21. Those details are a bit of a departure from the normal and now we know a bit more about what is going on.
According to the Mat Men Podcast, WWE President Nick Khan is behind the decisions to hold Summerslam in Las Vegas and is the one pushing for singer Cardi B. to host the show. Cardi B. has not been announced for the show and there is no word on if she is interested in the spot. This year’s Summerslam will be the first ever in Las Vegas and the first held on a Saturday.
These efforts are part of WWE’s plan to make this year’s edition of Summerslam into the WrestleMania of 2021, including various top stars. WWE is reportedly hoping to have John Cena challenge Roman Reigns for the Universal Title in the main event but that has not b..

VIDEO: Surprise Change Made To Upcoming World Title Match

Change of scenery. One of the more interesting wrestling stories of the year so far as been Impact Wrestling working with All Elite Wrestling. This has included some names appearing outside of their main promotion, including Kenny Omega becoming the Impact Wrestling World Champion back in January. Becoming champion means you have to defend it though, and now Omega is going to have a bit of a unique title defense.
This week’s edition of Impact Wrestling featured a special summit between executives Scott D’Amore, Don Callis and Tony Khan. During the segment, an announcement was made that Omega’s title defense against Moose at Against All Odds on June 12 will be held at Daily’s Place in Jacksonville Florida. The rest of the show will take place at Skyway Studios in Nashville, Tennessee.
This could be an interesting change. Check out the summit and the two of them in action:

Another Wrestling Promotion Returning From Hiatus

It is starting to look normal again. We are still in the middle of the Coronavirus pandemic but things have started to get a little bit closer to normal. Above all else, major wrestling promotions have started to allow fans back into attendance, but there have been some promotions who have not even run shows in a rather long time now. One of the biggest left will be coming back soon.
Pro Wrestling Guerrilla has announced that they will be returning with their first live event in over a year and a half on August 1. The event will be the promotion’s first since December 20, 2019. There have been no matches, wrestlers or any additional information announced so far. Several of the promotion’s stars have since signed elsewhere, including Tag Team Champions the Rascalz, now known as MSK in NXT.
Kept you waiting, huh? PWG returns on Sunday, August 1st!

Update On Bray Wyatt’s WWE Status

Keep it warm for him. WWE may have a lot of television time every week but it does not have infinite time. Part of the problem is that at some point, something has to be cut off, which can make it a little annoying to have some wrestlers not around as often. Sometimes those wrestlers just need a chance to do something else, which might be what we are seeing at the moment.
According to PWInsider.com, WWE is intentionally leaving Bray Wyatt off of television. There is no backstage head on Wyatt and it is currently not clear why he has not been appearing. Wyatt is not in any trouble for his match with Randy Orton at WrestleMania 37, as it went exactly as planned. Following his WrestleMania match, Wyatt has made one appearance, in a backstage cameo, the following night on Monday Night Raw but has not been seen since.
Wyatt is quite the monster. Check out what WWE will be getting back one day:

VIDEO: Title Change Takes Place On NXT UK

History has been made. There are all kinds of titles under the WWE banner these days and some of them are among the most prestigious in the wrestling world today. Throw in the fact that a longer title reign could make things all the more important and titles are even better. A long form champion losing their title can be a big deal and that was the case this week.
This week on NXT UK, Meiko Satomura defeated Kay Lee Ray to become the new NXT UK Women’s Champion. The title win ends Ray’s record setting reign at 649 days, or over two thirds of the title’s history. Ray originally won the title back on August 31, 2019. Satomura’s win makes her the fourth champion in the title’s history, following Rhea Ripley, Toni Storm and Ray.
The title match was Satomura’s second shot at Ray’s championship, following a loss in her first opportunity on March 4. Following her loss, Satomura won a five woman gauntlet match on the May 13 edition of NXT UK. Satomura made her NXT UK debut back in February, ..
