WWE News and Rumors: Daniel Bryan teases return next year

It’s been more than two years since Daniel Bryan retired from in-ring action. Although Daniel Bryan is still connected to the ropes on Smackdown Live but it is nothing that is even close to satisfy what actually Bryan is capable of doing & what we can call his YARD.
On Talking Smack episode right after 205 Live this week, as usual the talk didn’t go too well between Bryan & The Miz.

During the GM and the self-proclaimed A-lister’s squabble, Bryan dropped a bombshell of a hint.

The Miz mocked him for not competing anymore. “You want to be a wrestler, but you can’t because of your head. That’s okay.” he said.

“I can’t or they won’t let me? We’ll see in a year and a half and see what happens,” Bryan fired back.

This is a big hint that Bryan, after his WWE contract expires can possibly return to in-ring action if not in WWE than in independent circuits.
This wrestling world was set on abuzz after this. This has been a topic of concern for many wrestling fans if or not Bryan will return for one more run inside the ring as a competitor.
Alex Pawlowski of Fightful even started a countdown clock.

Miz believes that Bryan still has it in him since the WWE draft last year. Bryan has bickered with the heel on many occasions, their issues bleeding into both SmackDown and Talking Smack.

Whether or not Bryan returns to in-ring action, one thing is for sure that Talking Smack has become one of the must watch WWE network programmes. You never know how entertaining this one hour right after 205 live can be. We all saw what happened between Shane & AJ Styles.

Also you never know when the urgency of Miz’s voice galvanize Bryan into action.

The Hardy Boys have said their last goodbyes to TNA on february 27. TNA has been losing its talents because of their new cost cutting strategy to sustain in the business. It all started with Mike Bennett & Maria leaving the company & now the biggest sensation in TNA has left the company, Broken Matt & Brother Jeff Hardy.

The brother duo is all set to try other options in the pro-wrestling world.

With that being said sources claim that The Hardy Boys will be trying hand first in New Japan Pro Wrestling. If that is true, this would be treat as the ‘broken’ gimmick will add 7 stars to the promotion.

The Hardy’s edition to the roster of WWE is going to be fantastic but having seen what WWE has done with many talents in the past, it is better that The Hardys move to a promotion which recognizes its talents in a much better way i.e. NJPW. Also Matt Hardy’s gimmick has been done so brilliantly that if it comes to WWE than the company will piggyback on it like they have done quite a few times. All in all no matter this 2.0 Version of both the hardy boys is guaranteed to entertain us.

NJPW NEWS: Kenny Omega will return, Shuts down WWE Rumors

Kenny Omega spoke to Wrestling Observer Radio and provided an end to rumors of him being in WWE ring. He said that he would be returning to New Japan Pro Wrestling and has disclosed this information now as there are rumors of him being in the rumble match and he is not interested in giving out false news to the universe. Omega realised that some people are going to be disappointed from this but he doesn’t want to take anything away from the rumble.

Omega hasn’t signed any deals yet but will get to Japan next month and work upon his new contract. Now that WWE is filled with talent at the moment with the likes of Nakamura, Styles and Joe; kenny feels like he has something more to accomplish in NJPW and make a bigger impact.

SO, KENNY OMEGA IS THE HOTTEST FREE AGENT IN PROFESSIONAL WRESTLING!

”The Cleaner” Kenny Omega appeared on the Taz Show yesterday and revealed that he’s a free-agent. He said that his New Japan contract runs out at the end of January and he is now evaluating his future. The former IWGP Intercontinental Champion further added that although he wasn’t actively talking to promotions, he was accepting feelers from other wrestling promotions/companies before taking the next step. Omega said that it wasn’t necessarily the money that would sway his mind because what he really wants to do is change the business of professional wrestling (aka sports-entertainment) in his own way.

According to Omega’s own words, it seemed like WWE have been among the promotions who have contacted him for a deal.

The Elite and Bullet Club member Kenny Omega was/is on WWE’s radar for quite awhile as per various reports from the past couple of years. It’s a well known fact.

In the main event of Wrestle Kingdom 11, Kenny Omega went toe-to-toe against ”The Rainmaker” Kazuchika Okada in an attempt to dethrone Okada and capture the IWGP Heavyweight Championship in a match that got appreciated by wrestling fans and critics across the globe and was rated 6 stars out of 5 by Dave Meltzer. Omega after ending up on the losing end, he tweeted out a few days later that he was leaving ‘The Land of the Rising Sun’ Japan and is considering his future options, which sent WWE and Wrestling fans alike in a frenzy and immediately rumors surfaced across social media platforms and beyond of a possible Royal Rumble appearance.

During the interview, Kenny Omega added that WWE would be more accepting of a talent like himself and they would now use him to his full potential, while in the past this may not have been the notion. Omega further said that he doesn’t want to sign with WWE for a payday but, he wanted to do things that made wrestling fans happy and bring new fans into the world of pro wrestling. Finally, he signed off saying that if WWE felt the same way about him and his vision, he would seriously consider an offer from WWE.

On his Instagram account, ‘The Face that Runs the Place’ John Cena posted a photo of ‘The Cleaner’ Kenny Omega.

On this account, Cena only sends out photos without any explanation. In the past, he’s been known to post other wrestlers (A.J. Styles, The Undertaker, CM Punk) to get set the pro wrestling universe abuzz.

Kenny Omega recently tweeted his first comments after losing to ‘The Rainmaker’ Kazuchika Okada in the main event of New Japan Pro Wrestling’s (NJPW) Wrestle Kingdom 11 which was for the IWGP Heavyweight Championship. The bout lasted forty-six minutes and was widely considered the show’s “Match of the Night”.

Meanwhile, Omega also tweeted out on January 6th, that he’ll be stepping away from Japan, and he followed that up saying his schedule is clear, & will be weighing all options.

Editor’s note:

What this gesture means is unclear. But, it seems to me that Kenny Omega will appear on WWE TV in some capacity or another very soon.
There are two possibilities.

One, He has signed with WWE and will report to the WWE Performance Center in Orlando soon. Kenny was on WWE’s radar anyway.

Two, NJPW and WWE have struck a deal for Kenny Omega’s appearance in WWE. This might be a first for a long lasting WWE/NJPW relationship.
