Bad Sign For The Future Of This Monday Night Raw Star

It was nice while it lasted. A new star showing up on one of the major WWE television shows is an exciting moment. You might be seeing one of the next big things in the company, though sometimes it can take awhile to click. Other times it can be pretty clear that someone is done from the start, but this time it seems that we have seem someone get their legs cut out from underneath them for good.

This week’s Monday Night Raw features Omos defeating Commander Azeez in a match that did not last three minutes. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, this is a bad sign for Azeez’s future, as he and Omos are both giants. WWE paired them together and had Omos dominate the match, which means that they are only interested in pushing him of the two. Azeez debuted his current character last year on SmackDown as Apollo Crews’ bodyguard.

Opinion: I don’t think it’s any secret that Azeez is not one of the top stars in WWE at the moment, but this was the kind of loss that you see to more or less end someone’s importance. Omos is a bigger and more successful star by a mile right now, but this left Azeez looking like he was destroyed. I’m sure he’ll have something to do at some point, though it might be a long time before anything else he does matters.

What did you think of the match? What else can Azeez do in WWE? Let us know in the comments below.
