Superstars Who Could Benefit From A Heel Turn

There is currently a strange heel/face dynamic in WWE. The ‘faces’ often receive boo’s from the crowd while the heels receive cheers. This is a notion that a mere 25 years ago would have been unimaginable. It has mostly become a slow inclining trend since the nWo formed.

Just look at Roman Reigns and Braun Strowman as perfect examples. Reigns is the company man, the superhero, the do-good ass kicker who fights for us getting booed out of arenas. While Strowman, the monster who wants to cause havoc and inflict pain while ruining lives and bullying the roster, receives love, support and praise from fans.

Despite these blurred lines however, a well executed heel turn in WWE can be fantastic. For example, Seth Rollins turning on The Shield will stand the test of time for its flawless timing and execution. As well as creating excellent moments, a good heel turn can lead to a career resurgence. Look at The New Day, their heel turn gave way to one of WWE’s most entertaining stables of all time.

Simply put, heel turns can make and also define careers. With so many stars in WWE needing a kickstart for their careers, a heel turn may be the answer. With that being said, this list looks at 4 WWE stars who could benefit from a heel turn in the upcoming months.

Neville is appearing via satellite and so is Austin Aries in similarly designed rooms. Corey mentions that they will be in a Submission Match and he asks about how this will be the biggest challenge for Neville. Neville says this is an asinine question. From the second he set foot in this division, he has beaten everyone, including the great Austin Aries . . . twice. He wants to know who Corey has been talking to.

Austin says if you want to talk about pretenders. You said you defeated him twice. Austin says that he beat Neville the last time they were in the ring.

Neville says this is slander.

Aries says this is not slander beacuse this is the truth. Do you think you are the first person to put roadblocks in front of him? Are you the first person to try to knock him down? Are the you the first person to get someone to do his dirty work to stop him? This is nothing new to him. Everyone knows that you have been scraping by by the skin of your teeth and you cannot do it a third time. He will take his hobbled leg and he will take his anger from these missed opportunity and he will inflict pain on you. Austin says he has a catalog of submission holds and he will finish off Neville with the Last Chancery and he will make Neville tap out.

Neville says that Aries is hoping his knee will regain its strength. Whatever you want to tell yourself, you are not ready to step into the ring with the King of the Cruiserweights. Neville tells Aries to walk away now because he will not be held responsible for what happens at Extreme Rules.

He does not think of showboats, people who take advantage of what they do in the ring for a little applause. Mustafa Ali is what he is campaigning against. Conversation with the Big Guy Recap – CM Punk Gets A Crazy Offer, Lack of Selling in Today’s Product, Booking Inquiry Takes A Strange Turn, More!

Ryback is joined on today’s show by his co-host Jeff Buck.

Ryback informs that he had had a brutal week. His Instagram account was locked for four days for some reason that he’s still unsure of, but it was really disappointing given how often he uses that account to promote his business ventures. In a similar vein, Ryback estimates that he has lost roughly $20,000 in sales in the United States alone from the ‘Amazon debacle’ over the last little while.

Ryback discusses the recent report that an indie promoter has offered CM Punk $1,000,000 to come wrestle for his promotion. Ryback says that he knows this promoter and let’s just say he’s not the straightest shooter in the World. Ryback assumes that if Punk accepted this deal he’d somehow find himself locked in a 7-year contract working thousands of shows a year.

The promoter also reportedly said that he’d consider it a victory if Punk even hears about this offer. Ryback says that’s a ‘mark’ comment if he has ever heard one.
