Another Famous Name Gone From WWE
WOO? There are certain legends in wrestling and then there is Ric Flair. No matter what you think of him or his abilities, there is no denying just how successful he has been. Flair is one of the most decorated wrestlers of all time and has had an almost entirely new career after he retired from the ring. He is an absolute legend, but now things are changing for him all over again.
According to Fightful.com and Wrestlinginc.com, Flair has been requested and been granted his WWE release. There is no word on why Flair requested his release or anything to suggest any problems between the two sides. Flair has been with WWE since 2012 and has made occasional appearance since. His most recent appearance came in February of this year as part of a storyline with Charlotte and Lacey Evans.

Opinion: I’m curious to see where Flair is going to go, but having him pop up for a few cameo appearances in other promotions would not be surprising. He has jumped around all over the place over the years and another move would make sense. Flair very easily could wind up back in WWE some day, and it would probably be his best fit for however much longer he is going to be doing this. Still though, if this is what he wants, good for him.
