A Step Up: AEW Announces International Television Deal With ESPN

The more the merrier. AEW has shaken up the wrestling world in a variety of ways, including offering all kinds of fresh content to wrestling fans. AEW has announced that it has reached a deal with ESPN to broadcast its events in Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands. The content will begin airing on February 16, with Dynamite on Thursdays and Rampage on Saturdays. The company’s pay per views will also be available on a delayed basis. There is nothing to suggest that AEW and ESPN will be working together anywhere else at the moment.

Opinion: This is the kind of expansion that might not sound like much, but getting a lot more fans to be able to see the product is an important step for AEW. While they have come a long way, the company is still rather young all things considered. It makes a difference to get to such a large new fan base and it could be part of their path forward to more success.
