Triple Threat: Three Superstars Make Surprise Returns On AEW Dynamite

They’re back. There are all kinds of reasons for a wrestler to be gone from a show and it can make for quite a moment when they make their return. You might see a wrestler’s return advertised or it might come as a surprise, but what matters is how they come back for a big event. That was the situation this week, with three wrestlers making their returns on the same show.

Three returns took place on this week’s edition of AEW Dynamite. First, the Lucha Bros returned to help Mark Briscoe deal with Tony Nese and Ari Daivari. The team had been off television due to visa issues. Later, Christian Cage returned and reignited his feud with Jungle Boy, laying him out with the Killswitch. Cage had been out of action since September with an arm injury.

Opinion: That’s a night night as you rarely get three people back in a row, especially someone like Cage, who has been gone for such a long time. This should be a nice boost for AEW, which certainly needs something fresh to spice things up a bit. Hopefully they can all stick around for a good while to come and with Cage’s arm healed up, that should be the case for the time being.
