New Japan Pro Wrestling held its annual Wrestle Kingdom show earlier this week, featuring several title matches. One such match saw Tama Tonga defeat Karl Anderson to win the NEVER Openweight Title. Opinion: This is something that makes a lot more sense as there was no real reason for New Japan to keep one of its titles on a different company’s wrestler. I’m not sure how much more work Anderson will do with New Japan but getting to wrestle on the biggest show outside of North America out of the year is one of the most unique stiuations anyone can have.
