She’s An All Timer: Mickie James Hints At Retiring From The Ring
That would be a big loss. There are certain people in wrestling who are legends in their own time and some of them have been trailblazers in the industry. These people are some of the bigger names in wrestling and it can be a special moment to see them get in the ring every now and then. Now though, we might not be seeing one of them wrestling anymore as she is teasing her retirement.
Wrestling legend Mickie James has hinted at her retirement from the ring on Twitter. Before the tournament brackets were revealed, fan asked James if she was going to be Asuka’s partner in the WWE Women’s Tag Team Title tournament. James responded by saying that she felt she was done in wrestling. Later, James responded to another fan who was praising her career, thanking them for their compliments and asking what else there was for her to accomplish in her career. James has been wrestling regularly this year, mostly in Impact Wrestling, where she was the Knockouts Champion from October 2021 until March 2022.

Opinion: When you think about it, James is absolutely right: she doesn’t have anything else to do and there is nothing left for her to do. She has been a success everywhere she has gone and was a champion as recent as about five months ago. Why stick around and risk things going down when you have accomplished just about everything you could expect to? James is an all time great and nothing she does going forward is going to change that.
